Ed
Harmon, PhD
Dr.
Harmon's background combines academic preparation in science and engineering at
Case Western Reserve University with extensive experience in industrial
management and human resources development, including eight years conducting
Barksdale Self-Esteem Workshops. He has conducted courses on Building
Self-Esteem, Stress Reduction Techniques and Managing Conflict on the Job, as an
adjunct faculty member since 1980 at the Public Service Institute of the
Business Division of Santa Ana Community College. He is a member of Sigma Xi,
the Scientific Research Society.
Dr.
Harmon, former President of the Barksdale Foundation, has built upon and
expanded Barksdale's basic ideas and their application and simplified their
presentation so the ideas can be quickly grasped and applied immediately.
Marge
Jarmin, MA
Ms. Jarmin holds a master's degree in psychology from the University of
Redlands, as well as current elementary, secondary and community college
credentials. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Coastline Community
College. Over forty years as an educator has given her a wealth of knowledge and
experience in dealing with young people and their needs. Marge is now focusing
her energy on promoting, through Arbor Vitae Institute, the use of the Barksdale
based ideas on human behavior, as well as continuing to develop, with Ed Harmon,
new materials w
ith special focus on young people.
Together these two professionals are shedding new light on how young people can
create happy, caring, and productive lives.
